The Get Crafty Canada Contest (the “Contest”) is brought to you by CITY, a division of Rogers Broadcasting Limited (“Rogers”) and Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, a division of Pfizer Canada Inc. (“Pfizer”), collectively the “Contest Sponsors”. The Contest is open to residents of Canada, who are over the age of majority in their province or territory of residence, excluding employees of the Contest Sponsors, employees of each of their parent and affiliated companies, the representatives, dealers and agents of the Contest Sponsors, and those with whom each of the foregoing individuals are domiciled. In addition, any entrant that submits a Video Entry must not be a professional videographer.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY to enter this Contest.
The contest period (“Contest Period”) starts at 9:00 am on January 24, 2014 and continues until 11:59 pm on March 31, 2014. All times are Eastern.
The Contest Period is divided in three phases as follows:
Each entry form fully completed and duly submitted, containing one Submission Video as instructed, is hereafter referred to as one “entry”.
THERE IS NO LIMIT TO THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES THAT YOU CAN SUBMIT TO THIS CONTEST BUT ONLY ONE VIDEO SUBMISSION PER ENTRANT WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR SELECTION OF THE 8 FINALISTS. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, contain an erroneous phone and/or email address or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by the Contest Sponsors in their sole discretion. The Contest Sponsors assume no responsibility for such entry forms. Moreover, Contest Sponsors assume no responsibility for garbled, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected entries, Submission Videos and/or votes or any computer errors or malfunctions.
Eligible entries received during the Submission Phase will be evaluated in a fair and unbiased one-round judging process by a panel of judges selected by the Contest Sponsors in their sole discretion. The judging panel will review and assign scores to Submission Videos according to the criteria below.
If the Contest Sponsors, at their sole and entire discretion, determine that an entry includes content that does not respect or satisfy the present Contest rules or any other applicable terms and conditions, the Contest Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify the said entry at their sole discretion without further notice. All decisions by the Contest Sponsors or their representatives with respect to any aspect of this Contest, including the eligibilities of entries, Video Submissions or votes are final and without appeal.
A judging panel will judge all eligible Submission Videos received based on the following criteria:

Those entrants who receive the eight (8) top ranking scores will be selected by the Contest Sponsors as finalists (each, a “Finalist”). All eight (8) Finalists will be confirmed by or about March 11, 2014. Selected Finalists’ Submission Videos will be posted on the Contest Website for public voting, beginning on or about March 13, 2014.
Decisions by the judging panel in assigning points to the Submission Videos are final and without appeal.
Subject to the terms detailed in these rules, the Finalist who receives the highest number of public votes pursuant to the Voting Phase described above (the “Selected Finalist”) will be eligible to win one (1) Grand Prize as described below. An attempt will be made to contact the Selected Finalist by Rogers on or about April 4, 2014 by email or telephone (using the information provided at the time of entry). If the Selected Finalist cannot be contacted within a maximum of three (3) attempts or within three (3) business days, whichever comes first, then he/she will be disqualified and the Contest Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to select the Submission Video that obtained the next highest number of public votes as a new Selected Finalist. Before being declared a winner of the Grand Prize (the “Grand Prize Winner”), the Selected Finalist contacted must sign and return all the documentation required by these Contest rules. The Grand Prize consists of:
The Television Segment will take place in Toronto, Ontario at a location determined by Rogers, at its sole discretion, and at a time to be determined together with the Grand Prize Winner. Breakfast and lunch (non-alcoholic beverages included) to be provided on the day of the Television Segment.
Total approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $15,000 CDN. Actual retail value will vary based on point of departure, flight schedule and selection of hotel. No financial compensation will be made or required if actual costs are lower or higher than the total value quoted in the present rules.
Odds of becoming a Finalist depend on the number of eligible entries received. Odds of a Finalist winning the Grand Prize are one (1) in eight (8).
The following conditions apply:
All eight (8) Finalists (including the Finalist ultimately selected as the Grand Prize Winner) are eligible to win one (1) of eight (8) Secondary Prizes, consisting of $500 CDN in the form of a cheque payable to each Secondary Prize Winner.
Secondary Prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred.
Those having voted for a Finalist as described above in “The Voting Phase” (each, a “voter”) are eligible to win one (1) Voting Prize, consisting of $1,000 CDN in the form of a cheque payable to the Voting Prize Winner. Odds of winning the Voting Prize depend on the number of eligible votes received.
Voting Prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred.
A random draw by a representative of Rogers from all eligible voting entries received will be made at approximately noon on April 7, 2014 at Rogers’ offices at 1 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, Ontario M4Y 2Y5.
An attempt will be made by Rogers to contact the selected voter on or about April 8, 2014 by email or telephone (using the information provided at the time of entry). The selected voter will be disqualified and required to forfeit any claim on the Voting Prize if (i) he or she cannot be reached within three (3) business days following the first attempt of contact; or (ii) the terms set forth in these Contest rules are not adhered to. Where such selected voter is disqualified, another eligible voter will be selected until the Voting Prize is awarded.
To be declared a winner of any prize, the selected Finalist or voter, as applicable, must: (i) correctly answer without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by telephone during a pre-arranged, mutually convenient time; (ii) be in full compliance with these Contest rules; (iii) sign and return a Declaration of Compliance with these Contest rules (the “Declaration”) and a Release of Liability and Publicity Release form ("Release Form"), to be provided by the Contest Sponsors; and (iv) in the case of the Finalist selected for the Grand Prize, ensure that his/her selected Guests (or any guest’s parent or legal guardian if that guest is under the age of majority in his/her province or territory) sign and return a Release Form. Grand Prize Winner’s chosen Guests cannot be changed after the selected Finalist’s Declaration and the Release Forms have been received by Contest Sponsors.
Rulings and decisions by the Contest Sponsors and their representatives are final and without appeal in all matters related to the administration of the promotion and the Contest, the selection of the Finalists, and the awarding of all prizes.
The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. The Contest is void where prohibited by law.
By completing and returning a Prize Form and accepting a prize, the winner: (i) confirms compliance with the Contest rules; (ii) acknowledges that the prize is not transferable (except as provided for herein and only at the Contest Sponsors’ sole and absolute discretion), and must be accepted as awarded unless otherwise stated; (iii) consents to the use of his/her name, city of residence voice, statements, photographs and/or other likenesses for publicity, advertising or informational purposes in any medium or format carried out by Rogers and/or advertising agencies regarding the Contest or the prize, without further notice or compensation; and (iv) releases the Contest Sponsors, their affiliates (including, without limitation, each of their parent, sister and subsidiary companies), advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of materials or services related to the Contest and all of their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees and agents (collectively the "Releasees") from and against all liability in connection with the Contest and/or the awarding and/or use of the prize, including, as set out below in the LIMITATION OF LIABILITY section.
The Releasees do not assume any responsibility and each entrant and voter, as applicable, releases the Releasees from any and all claims, actions, damages, demands and liabilities of whatever nature or kind arising out of or in connection with the entrant's or voter’s participation or attempted participation in the Contest and prize, including, without limitation the administration of the Contest, the selection and confirmation of the winner, and the arranging, awarding and use of any prize. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Releasees are not responsible for (i) the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information; (ii) late, lost, stolen, illegible, damaged, misdirected, mutilated, garbled or incomplete entries or votes, or entries or votes that are altered or otherwise irregular, contain false information, have been submitted through illicit means or do not conform with or satisfy any or all of the conditions of the Contest rules; (iii) any loss, damage, or claims caused by the awarded prize or the Contest itself; (iv) any failure of or problem with the Contest Website, or any website feature howsoever caused, including, without limitation, any problems, human or technical, printing errors, lost, delayed, garbled data or transmissions, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects or failures of any telephone or computer lines, technical malfunctions of any computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry or vote to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including, without limitation, any injury or damage to an entrant's, voter’s, or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any material connected to the Contest, all of which may affect a person's ability to participate in the Contest; (v) any website functionality lost due to not having cookies enabled; (vi) any errors, omissions, incorrect or inaccurate information in any Contest-related materials, including, without limitation, printing or advertising errors or the failure of or problems with any equipment or programming associated with or used in the Contest howsoever caused; (vii) the security or privacy of information transmitted via computer networks or breaches of privacy due to interference by third party computer "hackers" or otherwise; and (viii) any claims regarding the accepting, arranging, awarding or use of the prize. Entry/voting material or data that has been tampered with or altered is void.
The Contest Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify without notice any entrant or voter that is found, in the Contest Sponsors’ sole discretion, to be: (a) violating the Contest rules; (b) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry or voting process or the operation of the Contest or the Contest Website; © acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person or (d) attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants, voters, or the Contest Sponsors’ representatives. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT, VOTER OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CONTEST OR TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD ANY SUCH ATTEMPT BE MADE, CONTEST SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION, AND TO BAN OR DISQUALIFY AN ENTRANT OR VOTER FROM THIS AND FUTURE CONTESTS.
If a dispute arises regarding who submitted an online entry or vote, the entry or vote will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address provided at the time of entry/vote, provided the name of the authorized account holder corresponds with the full name on the entry/voting form. The individual assigned to the email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected Finalist or voter may be required to provide proof of identity and proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry or vote. All entries and votes must be submitted from a valid email account. If the name of the authorized account holder does not accord with the full name on the entry/voting form, the entry/vote may be disqualified at the sole and absolute discretion of the Contest Sponsors. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity, eligibility and/or compliance with these Contest Rules for purposes of administering this Contest.
Any litigation in Quebec respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties to reach a settlement.
In the event of any discrepancies between the English and French versions of these rules, the English version of the rules shall prevail.
